Protein. Protein is made up of amino acids, so taking extra aminos rarely helps. Any good protein powder will list the amino acid profile on the package.
However, if you want to use both, I’d recommend Branched Chain amino acids in addition to protein powder. BCAA’s are really important to muscle growth. Again, protein supplements already contain BCAAs, but a little extra can be a big help.
