I was once told that if you do low reps high weight you will gain strength, and if you do high reps low weight, you will gain muscle mass. But then one day I was told otherwise. So I’m very confused. Therefor, if I exercise with low reps and high weight what do I gain?…

Protein. Protein is made up of amino acids, so taking extra aminos rarely helps. Any good protein powder will list the amino acid profile on the package.
However, if you want to use both, I’d recommend Branched Chain amino acids in addition to protein powder. BCAA’s are really important to muscle growth. Again, protein supplements already contain BCAAs, but a little extra can be a big help.
