What is a good fat burning supplement suitable for men?

I would like to supplement my efforts to lose about 20 pounds. I’ve heard of supplements like hydroxycut and xenadrine, but do they really work? If you have suggestions, please give those I can find in a GNC or vitamin world. I also plan to exercise as well, I was just wondering whether such a suppliment could help.

L carnitine, generally speaking is not a fat burner as such,it is a branch chain amino acids, it assists with weight loss by making the fat on your body more easier to burn! all it there are several good ones out there but depending where you live and if you can get them at your shops. try one called Hydroxycut Hardcore by muscle tech or another good one is Lipo 6 by nutrex. yes in my view hydroxycut is the best fat burner out there, and yes they do work, i have seen results first hand for myself and the before and after photos are huge.

    L-Carnitine. Its the active ingrediant in all weight loss products and you can buy it alone in pill form for much much cheaper than the weight loss products.

    If you really want to improve your health stay away from all those weight loss products. None of them are good for you. Reducing your caloric intake while eating healthy foods and getting plenty of regular exercise is the only to lose weigh without doing damage.

  4. Xenadrine, Hydroxycut, etc. is all a bad choice. The side effects (and i know you probably dont care about them) include depression, lack of energy, and teeth biting. Not to mention they are expensive as hell. I can guarentee that 30 min on a treadmill 3 times a week will have insanely better results then taking a supplement.

    If you really want to lose weight, you need to change your life style. You have to incorporate a work out regiment and more importantly a nutrition plan (90% of all muscle gains and fat loss will start and end in the kitchen and not the gym!). All those supplements you shove down your throat will not equate to jack unless you make a fundamental change in your diet and life.

    To lose weight takes discipline, dedication, and motivation.

    Anyone that says a fat burner will solve your weight problem is full of sh**. Sure you "might" be able to see results, but as soon as you get off the pill; you’ll revert back to your old eating habits, and you will end up right where you started.
