Spiritual Life Coaching – There’s No Such Thing As Bad Luck

You make your own “luck” in life. In truth, there’s really no such thing as luck. The very word implies that things in the universe happen randomly, by chance or coincidence. Ironically the word “coincidence” stems from the geometric term “coincide,” meaning the corresponding of two events occupying the same exact space in time. Perfectly timed events are certainly not random, nor do they happen by chance. As Louis Pasteur so eloquently put it, “Chance favors the prepared mind.”

People who are lost in the mind will often bring their dramas with them to work so that they can share their “back luck” stories with others. This is the ego’s pathetic way of justifying its own existence. The more drama these people can muster up, the more they can bathe in their own self-importance. You may also notice that their “back luck” seems to revisit them quite frequently. This is because their minds are focused on their history of negative situations dating back into early childhood. They are “stuck” in a groove of conflicts, dramas, lawsuits, divorces, car accidents, foreclosures, bankruptcies, and the like that, to them, is always someone else’s fault. They frequently blame the ex-lover, ex-spouse, ex-banker, ex-lawyer, ex-boss, whoever, for all their troubles, problems, and pain. Bitterness, resentment, and anger fills up the room when they talk about “the other” person who brought upon them such distraught.

Little do these people know that there was only one common denominator in all of the negative situations that they’ve endured in their lives. Them. Their negative thinking combined with negative emotions such as anger, hate, jealousy, and fear, creates a generator for “bad luck” scenarios. And as long as they continue to be deluded that someone else is to blame for all the “bad luck” things that have happened to them, the law of attraction will guarantee a replay of the dramatic events.

If you don’t distance yourself from these individuals you may find yourself being reeled into their nightmare. As the saying goes, “misery loves company.” I call these people “psychic vampires” because they sap all your strength when you’re around them. They seek your sympathy because it is energy for their pain-body to feed on. They want you to feel sorry for them because, again, their egos demand the attention. For them, it’s all about taking, not giving. And this is the mysterious cause for all their “bad luck.” The law of attraction can only return like frequency for like frequency. Because they are always on the take, the universe is simply reflecting who they are at that moment. Therefore, the universe takes from them.

Now, instead of playing the victim, when we show gratitude for what we have, no matter how little we seem to have compared to others, a whole new frequency of emotion is sent out into the universe. This is the frequency of unconditional love. When we finally “say yes” to whatever happens to us without complaint, criticism, or condemnation, it’s as if we are saying to the universe, “I honor what is happening and I love you no matter what you bring to me.” No more victims. This is called the power of presence.
