What is a good protein supplement? Or are there any other good supplements?

Right now I’m using ProLab and I’m seeing as much results as I was with the old protein stuff i was using called Nitrotech. Does anyone know what a good protein supplement is for a better rate of muscle growth or a different kind of supplement maybe?

  1. The best all around protein supplement that I have ever come across is "Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard." This is a great protein for many reasons. First of all if you can't stand to drink a shake odds are you will stop drinking it after not too long. This shake tastes great, especially the chocolate. Many proteins that I have gotten were too thick and clumped up. Optimum Nutrition is smooth and doesn't clump. Most importantly it provides you with 24 grams of protein per serving, 5.5 grams of BCAA's, 4 grams of glutamine, and 25 milligrams of an enzyme blend. The enzyme blend is great because it helps you digest the protein more efficiently therefore letting you put more of it to use. The glutamine is also great, as it helps you recover after exercise. This was a really hot seller when I worked at General Nutrition Center. Hope this helps!

Any type of time release whey or combination protein should help. If you are trying to gain mass try to double your calorie intake, aim for at least 4,000 calories a day. Oh yeah make sure you get your amino acids, especially L-Arginine.

  3. I have found for quality, taste and muscle development, no better protein supplements than those offered by Beverly International. The only drawback is that you have to order them online. I would recommend Mass Maker, Muscle Provider, Ultimate Muscle Protein or Ultra Size. Serious bodybuilders use Beverly.

I've tried others and always go back to Beverly – it is simply the best.
