Can supplements be broken down / crushed and still maintain nutritional value?

While taking orally. With supplements of various types from herb supplements to fat metabolizers and niacin. Im researching supplemental factors and would like to know how that applies. If it varies, in what types of supplement(s).

(example, crushing a niacin tablet and mixing in water.) ?

  1. Crushing tablets won't change the nutritional value, but it will speed up the absorbtion rate. It may cause you to get too much of the supplement all at once instead over a prolonged period.
