If you are more of the sporty kind, then look for clubs and area teams where you can learn or continue playing the game. You can therefore meet other friends who have a passion for that game or sport.

You have to be open-minded always. Expect anyone to come your way. Therefore, do not be fixated on certain qualities of a person. This will only make your search harder as you will find that special person so elusive. Focus on meeting anyone nice and you will be more fruitful.

While you meet new faces, keep them impressed by always staying interested. A smile every now and then lets them know that you at least get their drift. That is a sign of having stuff in common. Laugh together too.

Maintain direct eye contact when you talk to people otherwise they will think that you do not mean a thing you say. You do not want to seem like the guy who talks a lot of hot air just so that he can be part of a group; only to be exposed.
