Before going into the politics he was practicing psychiatry then he gave his service as a minister of Health for four years, starting from 2004 till 2008. He wanted to join politics as a full-time politician and because of that he sold his clinic. Before that Dr. Chuahad served the Batu Pahat as a medical officer.
