Read on to determine how you can apply EFT for conquering your procrastination and other harmful habits.

If you are not familiar with EFT, you should know that it works with your body’s energy system. It’s a form of acupuncture that uses gentle taps rather than needles along the meridian points to get stuck energy moving again. EFT tapping is a gentle procedure that works on the emotions underneath the behavior and creating a habit of getting things done.

Before EFT tapping, ask yourself: How would my life transform if I stopped procrastinating? What is the disadvantage of moving forward? Why don’t I feel safe about moving forward? Then, identify an essential task that you have been procrastinating. This task must be something that has to be completed but you just haven’t got around to doing. See to it that it is specific and well defined. Write the task down and have it handy to look while stating the following set-up phrases: “Even if I go on procrastinating, I sincerely and totally love myself”, “Even if I would rather not do (this activity), I decide to feel relax and confident, “Even though I’m tempted to procrastinate, I prefer to do this (activity) right now.

Tap on the following meridian points: karate chop point, top of head, eyebrows, side of eyes, under eyes, under nose, chin point, collar bones, under arms, and wrists. For the follow-up phrases, you use the negative parts of the set-up statements for the first round or two, and then you apply the positive ones for another round. An example of a negative phrase from the above is “I continue procrastinating” and an example of a positive statements is “I decide to do (this activity) right now.”

Our behavior is shaped through our actions and thoughts. Try the above EFT tapping to end your habit of procrastinating.
