A simple outline of Reiki healing

While this won’t be an official Reiki definition (if there’s such a deal), what I'm able to share with you are my experiences and personal perception of what Reiki is. — I am able to share with you my personal Reiki definition.

Our hands are conduits of energy. We live and breathe in a sea of energies. We are in unbroken contact and exchange with the many energies around us. Yet, it is inside our power to manage our own energy fields and our bodies by touching in with and addressing our private energy fields daily.

Reiki is a formal system of hands on (and distance) healing. It is performed by a trained and practiced Reiki expert.

Plan is a big thing in Reiki. Plan holds the holy space needed for the evolution that may occur during and following a healing session. We mostly state plan for the benefit of all when we practice Reiki. Stating this plan is a ‘safe-guard ‘ against unwell will or dangerous desire, which should never be included in a Reiki healing session.

As an energy, I'm not sure if it is some specific radio frequency band, a specific ‘Goddess energy ‘ or universal “God-stuff” that embues Reiki with it’s power…and I generally don’t care.

What I do care about are the confirming experiences I've had with Reiki and it’s implications on our own self-care and of the care that we can take of those we like, come to understand or those we're only now meeting for the 1st time, as is classic for a newbie Reiki session. Everybody, and indeed our complete planet, can gain amazing benefit from a highly intentional and unconditionally loving Reiki session.

Reiki gets us back on track. It gives us a chance to check in with our bodies and to be present again. Whether we are getting a healing session from a qualified Reiki specialist, or we're just giving ourselves some Reiki self-care and sacred space, we continue to benefit considerably.

Even if we are brand spanking new to Reiki info, if we are able to be present and open to perceiving a different experience than we might have had in our personal past, we would find a mild, loving and powerful force that we will be able to connect to and make use of to benefit ourselves and the world around us.
