7. One possible cause is congestion and having too much mucus in the night. If you are currently facing a lot of congestion, all you have to do is try breathing in some steam from a hot water tap, or use a humidifier by your bed. This will moisturize the air and limit your congestion.

8. If you are a smoker, then here is another reason that you can add to the list of reasons to quit. Smoking can lead to snoring. Try not to smoke just before bedtime. Smoking will bring about an inflamed and swollen throat, making a stop snoring attempt pointless in the end.
