So, I not too long ago received several alcohol associated questions from Rebecca with concerns regarding teens consuming alcohol, and also the problems that this particular culture can cause.

First I only want to say thanks to Rebecca, but include that this only is my very own opinion, and that all recommendations given by StopDrinkingAdvice.org is merely good beneficial help and advice.

Anyway, on to the initial alcoholism connected question…

Do you consider allowing people to carry their personal alcoholic drinks into clubs is a good idea? If not why?

Basically no, definitely not. The whole alcohol lifestyle is just an excuse for making people feel that they cannot socialize without alcohol, and clubs are overall an arena packed with accessible addictions, so I would not loosen the actual constraints already in place, I would include further constraints to ensure it is more difficult to buy alcoholic beverages in the first place. The true concern is that far too much money is created by selling alcohol, making any kind of changes to protect people from alcohol even more complicated.

Do you reckon it is going to encourage young people to drink more?

Well sure it certainly will as the less expensive they are able to buy alcohol at the more people will drink, so perhaps as has been done with smoking, tax on alcoholic beverages should be increased to help drive up the retail price of liquor. Although if we’re to simply concentrate on Clubs, then perhaps the initial 2 or 3 drinks could be cheaper, as a way to restrict changing a sociable habit into an alcohol dependency.

Do you consider it’s going to encourage a rise in inappropriate conduct for instance fighting between people during an evening out?

Now you’ve touched on a different facet of drinking here, as we know that alcohol does bring about violence in some people, but not in everybody. So even though alcohol can bring about violence, it is not the sole root cause.

Just what advice could you provide for young people that are purchasing their particular alcohol before entering night clubs and pubs in North East England?

My personal advice will be to remember that alcohol must be given a great respect, and that with the more one drinks, the greater danger they’re at to get hurt. When teenagers drink, they simply have to know that they have to maintain a total control over their actions, and much more essential of all, that they can get home safely.

I recognize that there is a drinking tradition in North East England, however remember not to mix alcohol drinks, and do not drink if you have to drive home. Maintain alcohol in hand, and enjoy the nightlife available without wrecking your life by abusing alcohol… All of it returns to good old just being sensible!!!
