Mesothelioma is usually a rare cancer that affects the thin protective lining that protects a person’s heart, lungs and the other internal organs. This lining is what we call mesothelium, it comes from a mesoderm layer that lines these body cavities in an embryonic state. It produces a lubricating fluid that helps the internal organs to move freely inside the body. The lungs are in a position to expand, the heart beats properly, along with the internal organs are able to glide inside the body.
