We all believe that our hair is our crowning glory. Thus, we give much attention to it that we are willing to do everything to make it more beautiful. One of the most important elements that our hair needs is protein known as keratin. It is likewise needed by our nails, skin and the enamel of our teeth. Large amounts of sulfur are found in our hair because the keratin protein in every fiber of our tresses contains amino acid cysteine. When the sulfur in the cysteine molecules, which is close to keratin protein unite together, they generate disulfide chemical bonds. Sturdy and tough, the disulfide chemical bonds cannot be easily separated.
