Perhaps, more often than not, scabies are easily spread by those who have been infested the very first time. This is possible because, even though you are contagious, the symptoms of the infestation may not appear for from two to four weeks after the initial infestation. So, of course, the infested person has no clue about the condition. The infestation will be easily transferred by prolonged, skin-to-skin contact.
