Plant And Grow Trees For An Earth Friendly World

If we look at yearly figures, between three and six billion trees are being chopped down worldwide. There is so much that is made from trees and this means there is a big demand in the marketplace. Writing paper and household tissue papers are an illustration of this, as well as the timber used to build houses. Alas, we need the things that the trees produce but we can do something about the depletion of our woodlands.

Although we have Arbor Day, and everyone must plant a tree every Arbor Day, that is only taking care of a small part of the problem. Planting trees is not something that a lot of folks give any thought to. If people could do our part and plant a tree, it would make a difference.

There may be seven billion people in the world today. Of course, you can never be certain of the precise figures for this. However, if every of those 7 billion people went out and planted a tree every Arbor Day, we would be able to replace all the trees that were cut down that year. The probability of this happening is small.

And so, the answer is for those of you who care about the Earth and want oxygen so you can live, plant a tree. When it comes to planting a tree, I would not suggest you just do this on a particular day each year. I am talking more or less once per month or even once per week. We must try to make up for those individuals who never plant trees even though they continue to use the earth’s valuable resources.

On Arbor Day, the number of trees planted is only between 8 and 15 million. Hence on an annual basis, we have a shortage of roughly 5 billion trees. This situation continues to deteriorate.

Whereas individuals should make the effort to plant trees, I have an idea that could resolve this once and for all. What could actually take care of this problem is if every wood business or tree farmer, by law, had to plant two saplings for each tree they cut down, so our tree issue wouldn’t be an issue for long.

We are going to have to continue to face this problem ourselves until there is the political willpower to make these changes. Keeping those tree numbers up will not actually take a great deal of effort. If each month, roughly 10% of people worldwide could plant a tree, that would make up for the numbers being cut down every year. Around 7 billion new trees would be planted by doing this. Essentially, this gives us an additional one billion trees and will go a long way to restoring the levels that are actually required.

Each person concerned about the the environment can help by planting trees. Things will change if 10% of the human population choose to do this. It is up to you if you want to get involved.
