Wrinkle removal can be a matter of using the latest creams on the market if you have just a few surface lines. They could plump them up and make you look younger. Chemical peels come in a few different methods depending on how deep your wrinkles are. The deep level will give the best results, it will also take about two hours to perform and about two weeks for recovery. The medium level peel will give you an improved texture and will be about an hour to perform. It can burn and the way it works is that your skin will crack and then peel to reveal a new layer of skin. The lightest method is the superficial peel that may need to be done a few times to get the desired results. They take about 15 minutes and do not penetrate very deeply.

Dermabrasion will refine the topmost layers of your skin through a surgical scraping method. An electrically operated instrument with a wire brush is used to smooth and soften the appearance of your skin. Some of the side effects are permanent skin color changes and scarring.

Laser peels or laser resurfacing are a chemical procedure. Carbon dioxide lasers are used to remove wrinkled and damaged skin. It can be done in certain spots or all over the face. Some of the risks are that you can get burns from the laser heat, herpes infections can be activated and you can get scarring.

Face lifts give the most dramatic and permanent results, they smooth out deep lines and return the tone and contouring lost when the skin begins to sag. It defines the jawline better and will give you better definition in your cheekbones. Some possible risks are damage to the nerves and infection.

Botox is a temporary solution that will need to be repeated about twice a year. It works by paralyzing the muscles responsible for the lines and wrinkles. It is a good short-term solution for wrinkle removal but will have to be maintained for the best results.
