Discover Rabbit Island In Croatia

Vrboska is located on the central part of the island of Hvar. It is located in a very deep and narrow bay that in some attributes resembles a fjord. Those attributes make this bay one of the safest in the Adriatic Sea.

Vrboska is surrounded by pine forest, vineyards and olive trees. It is the smallest town on that sunny and magnificent island. It is an ideal place to spend a pleasant and peaceful vacation. There, you can enjoy in the fragrant Mediterranean vegetation and clean sea.

On the Soline peninsula, the most popular beach in Vrboska is located. There are several bays with sandy beaches on the south side and flat stone beaches on the north side. Those sandy beaches are great for families with children. There are lonely places that are great for visitors that enjoy swimming away from the other people.

One of the most popular nudist beaches in Dalmatia is located on the islet of Zecevo. The islet is located only 20 minutes from Jelsa. It can be reached by boat from Jelsa or Vrboska. It is one of the most beautiful islets in Hvar archipelago.

There are many beautiful natural beaches on the coastline of that islet. For those who like the scent of the untouched nature, clean sea, solitude and freedom, the islet is an ideal place. Each year, lots of people visit Zecevo.

Zecevo was named after rabbits. It is unpopulated little islet with rich flora and fauna which boasts of a rich diversity of animal species, especially with rabbits. The island has the status of a protected area since 1972.
