Fun Home Workouts – How to Get Super Fit from Home

With the sky-high cost of gym exercises, most individuals find that they can meet their fitness needs by doing home exercises. This is also the path taken by those who are too busy with work or family demands that going to the gym is not feasible. Others who get too conscious working out in front of a lot of well-toned bodies find exercising at a home preferable.

When home workouts come to mind, a lot of individuals think that you need to invest a substantial amount of capital for your home fitness equipment. When they don’t have a “serious-looking gym” at home, they are dissuaded from doing their workouts. However, it’s not necessary to invest in a home gym. In this article, we’ll give you 9 exercises to do at home without the benefit of gym equipment. They’re absolutely fun, too. Check them out and learn that healthy can be fun!

1. Dance your heart out to your favorite music. Depending on your body weight, you can burn 200 calories just by putting on your dancing shoes and hitting the dance floor. Whether it’s aerobic, modern or ballroom dancing, the choice is yours.

2. Take your baby for a walk in his stroller. You burn a little over 100 calories by pushing a stroller with an infant around your yard or your neighborhood.

3. Clean the house. This may not be your idea of fun but it’s good for your health and your home. Get your rags, brooms and vacuum cleaner out and start cleaning each room. Feel the sweat pour as you get rid of all dust and pollution from your home. You will not only be burning fats but will be proud at your accomplishment of having been able to clean your home as well.

4. Follow a home workout DVD. If you want more structured home workouts then this is as close as you can get. The market is inundated by so many workout videos so choose the one that’s fun and enjoyable.

5. Exercise by running up and down the stairs. This is a great cardiovascular workout that can burn overall body fat levels. Run around the house if you don’t have stairs.

6. Skipping and hopping around your home is fun. By giving it your all as you hop around, you bust boredom and get a good sweat the same time. Watch your head, though!

7. Jump up and down a trampoline or your cushioned bed. No one needs to tell you how much fun this is. Add in a pillow fight for good measure when everyone is around.

8. Tend your garden. Gardening is not only relaxing but it jump starts your workout, particularly if you’ve been a couch potato for long.

9. Spend time playing with your children. Playing with your kids is a challenging workout. If your toddler can’t play sports like badminton with you yet, follow everything he does. You’re going to tire out first when your tot has just gotten revved up. Do this everyday and soon you’ll develop stamina and endurance.
