Natural Baby Skin Care Products; Safer Care for Your Babies

It is believed that up to 75 percent of newborn babies suffer from various types of skin problems within the first few months after birth, and mainly this has been linked to the products that are used to so-called soften, clean, and moisturize their skin. Because of this, many parents fear to buy many commercial baby skin care products and alternatively go for their own natural baby skin care products.

From bubble baths to baby powders and shower shampoos to lotions, almost all the products nowadays contain chemicals that are very dangerous to their tender skin, and it gets even worse especially when they are exposed to these products almost two to four times in a day. To answer to this particular problem, we now have many companies which produce natural baby skin care products.

These products are usually made from the purest ingredients, which is the best solution for newborn babies’ skin. And many of these products are sometimes handmade without any chemical oils, preservatives and petroleum jelly. Some of them are as below.

Bathing Products

One of the most famous natural baby skin care products is hair shampoo and body lotion. Hair shampoos here are very much taken into consideration, because the type of shampoo that should be used in babies differ from one to another according to the amount of hair they have and their scalp, so usually there would be several choices available for parents to choose from.

A bad choice of shampoo may result in cracking scalp problem or even hair loss for your baby. Generally, most of natural baby skin care products contain ingredients such as coconut oil, soy protein, herbs and mild natural preservatives from plants, and they do not contain heavy chemicals like imidazolidinyl urea and parabens that are used widely in commercial baby products.

For baths, most of the commercial products are made of synthetic moisturizers that can eventually leave their tender skin dry and cracked. Natural baby skin care products on the other hand, use natural resources like lavender oil, calendula, olive, coconut, palm oil and water.

Post-Bathing Products

After a clean shower with all natural baby skin care products, many parents would also want to use powders and lotions for their babies. Usually the commercial talc-based baby powders can cause various problems to the skin such as rashes, irritation, and even allergy to other senses. And for this, the natural baby skin care powders would be the alternative. They usually contain nothing more than natural bentonite clay and cancer-free natural chemicals.
