Why Ultrasound Liposuction?

Ultrasound liposuction is a new technique for local fat removal.

You could say it is a common method of cheating nature. Really, it’s an easy way for people to get rid of excess fat.

Traditionally, diet and exercise were the only options to get rid of the fatty parts that you don’t like. However, many people complain about those “last 10 pounds”, or stubborn areas of the body. It seems like no matter how hard you try, you just can’t lose that stubborn roll or pocket of fat.

Or, maybe you are already slim, but you want to give certain parts of your body a more sleek, firm look. This is where lipo can help. Fat is broken down and removed by suction.

Liposuction at first was, and still is all the rage amongst the rich and famous.

Celebrities are under a lot of pressure to always look their best for their jobs. It helps them keep up the illusion that their bodies are far more in shape than the average person’s body.

Socialites often socialize in the same circles as celebrities and travel to the same destinations. They visit the finest clothing designers, who make dresses to fit tiny model-sized bodies.

Being perceived as overweight, or actually having pockets of flab isn’t acceptable in these circles. So, having liposuction can become a matter of social currency, and relevance.

Ultrasound liposuction is seen as a god-send, but it still is a surgical procedure. it is not without its risk or possible complications.

With traditional liposuction, a canula is used to break up fatty tissue. This is then sucked out of the body. One result of this process is swelling, and trauma. The doctor makes saw-like motions to break the fat.

To solve this problem ultrasonic liposuction was invented as a way to perform this procedure in a less damaging way.

The main difference is that the lance being used has an ultrasound devise attached to it. As the lance is inserted into the body, the ultrasonic waves melts the fat.

Fat is liquefied. The liquid can then be suctioned out of the body, instead of the fat chunks being broken down.

As a major benefit there is less internal trauma, because there is less damage done with the canula. Another advantage is that the skin isn’t stretched out as much.

Since fat is being liquified, more of it can be removed. So now doctors can remove fat cells from areas of the body that were next to impossible previously. There is also fewer loss of blood. This means less down time during the recovery phase.

While you should always consult with your doctor when thinking about any surgical procedure, ultrasound liposuction is an option that you can certainly look into.

All procedures have their risk, but this one can be quite beneficial for the right person.
