Who Am I? An Inspiring Poem

As I am continuing my journey of self-mastery and creating my expertise of individual development, I came across an inspiring poem. It really tends to make you think…

Who Am I Author Unknown

“You may know me…I’m your constant companion. I’m your greatest helper. I’m your heaviest burden. I’ll push you onward…or drag you down to failure.

I am at your command if you choose to use me. Half the tasks you do…can be turned over to me. I’m able to do them quickly and I’m able to do them the same every time.

I’m easily managed-all you have to do is be firm with me. Show me exactly how you want it done. After a few lessons, I’ll do it automatically.

I am the servant of all great men and women. And of course, the servant of all the failures as well. I’ve made all the great individuals who have ever been great, And all the losers, too.

I work with the precision of a computer and the intelligence of a human being. You may run me for profit, or you may run me to ruin… It makes no difference to me.

Take me. Be easy with me and I will destroy you. Be firm with me and I’ll put the world at your feet.

Who am I?

I am your Habit.”

I am Your Habit

Wow! Now that poem really resonated with me! I located the poem inside a book I’m presently reading known as “The Power of Coaching,” by Machen MacDonald.

It truly produced me consider all the stories I’ve heard and also the books I’ve read about effective individuals. Even the productive individuals I know personally have this one particular thing in common…they have productive habits! They do issues on a consistent basis that get outcomes.

On the flip-side, those that have not had the results they desired most likely have NOT formed effective habits. They may even have habits that hinder them…and they have to be broken.

As I appear at myself, I’m becoming far more aware with the habits I’ve formed which got me results. And simply because they were habits, I could or may possibly not happen to be aware of them unless they were brought to my focus.

As an example, do you in fact spend attention to every time you breathe? Possibly not, because it is natural…you do it with no thinking about it. You do it all of the time! So what do you do each of the time that gets you the outcomes you want? What successful habits have you formed?

And should you be not finding the results you want, you should ask yourself…what are you NOT undertaking?

If you’re not positive what habits are keeping you from your goals, pay attention to someone who currently has what you need. Observe and study them. Should you can, ASK them what habits did they form to obtain the results they wanted?

1 factor I learned from this inspiring poem is that my habits could be my greatest pals or my worst enemies. It’s time to obtain acquainted with them, make the distinction, and determine who’s going to be on board.

Please share this inspiring poem on Facebook and Twitter. It could possibly be the a single piece from the puzzle an individual is seeking for. If your pals take in only a fraction of value from this poem, they are going to thank you for it…trust me!
