1. Carbohydrates get converted to blood sugar: Every single gram of carbohydrate that you digest, excluding fiber, gets converted to blood sugar. Thus, it’s in your best interest to eat slow digesting carbs so that your blood sugar doesn’t spike at any given time.

2. Fructose in fruit can worsen your health: Now a little fruit here and there will not harm you. What you want to avoid is eating large amounts of fruit in single sittings. You see, if you do this not only can you spike blood sugar, but you can also worsen blood lipids.

3. Carbohydrates help you burn more fat: This happens because carbs allow you to exercise with higher levels of intensity. Higher levels of intensity in turn help you burn more calories because of exercise post oxygen consumption.

4. Carbs during training are not necessary: If you are training for less than one hour, having carbs will not help you. In fact, it can hurt you because your blood sugar can drop. So stay away from carbs during your workout.

5. Carbohydrates provide the best catabolic protection: Catabolism involves the breakdown of your lean muscle tissue in order to provide energy. If you are getting energy from carbs, however, your body won’t breakdown your tissues.

6. Carbohydrate elimination is effective because of caloric deficits: There is nothing magical about going on a no carbohydrate diet. In reality, it’s the decrease in calories that make a difference here. Thus, you could get similar results by not eliminating carbs.

You shouldn’t fear carbs because they can provide a lot of help when it comes to getting in shape. So make sure you take action here quickly.
