What are some dietary supplements that help mental processes (memory, concentration, etc.)?

I’ve been looking for a dietary supplement that is proven to increase concentration, focus, memory, thought, etc.

I’ve seen some things around the internet, but I don’t believe most of them. And some of the supplements are CRAZY expensive (0+)

Could you give me a list of some of the best and proven mental capacity increase supplements?

I was also looking at Centrum Performance, but I think that’s more of a physical than mental supplement.

  1. the best thing to do is introduce plenty of oily fish to your diet, such as salmon and tuna. also, gingko biloba is fantastic for the brain!! they both work and are not expensive in the least.

  2. drink lots of water
    caffeine and ginseng help short term (they’ll wake you up for a bit while you try to study / concentrate)
    get enough sleep (8-10 hrs a night)
    and eat fish or other sources of omega-fats since those protect your brain.
    pills wont help since your body barely absorbs anything from them since they are not real food.
    also, light therapy can help wake you up if you live in a rainy / wintery place where there isnt enough sunlight.

  3. Ginkgo Biloba is good for memory.

    Gotu Kola is good for the mind in general. It’s cheapest to get it in bulk and make an infusion out of it (add boiling water to a few tablespoons in a mason jar and let it steep for 8 hours).

    Fish oil capsules help memory. They are absorbed. Also eat fatty fish. If you eat tuna, light is better than white because it has less mercury. Sardines are good. Salmon is the best. Beans are very good for brain function. Flax seeds have omega 3. A vitamin that is excellent for the brain that no one ever talks about is vitamin C. It crosses the blood brain barrier very quickly after it’s taken. It improves memory, thinking and mood. Take enough. Like two grams every three or four hours with a little food.
