Why is there so much fuss about toned arms? Is it really that hard to tone arms? Well, it depends on what approach you’re taking.

And some women, especially celebrities like Madonna, have found the right strategy. Now some may argue that Madonna has taken it too far, but at least she has gone somewhere with her arms.

I mean you could spend a lot of time doing ineffective exercises only to get mediocre results, if any. I know many women who have made this mistake, including myself.

As a result, I will be reviewing as many arm exercises for women as possible. I think we all deserve to know what works and what doesn’t. And on today’s menu is single arm reverse push downs to tone arms:

1. Summary: Usually done as a finishing move, you can only use lighter weights with this exercise. It mainly targets the lateral head of the triceps which is the outer part of your upper arm.

2. Technical overview: Grasp a handle with an underhand grip. Face the machine and gently tighten your abdominal belt. Keep the elbow locked in place and press the handle down. Slowly return the handle to the starting position.

3. Common errors: Allowing the elbow to move around. Grasping the handle with too much force which can cause pain in the wrist. And letting the chest cave in and the shoulders round forward.

4. To do or not to do: Using light weights when working out will not allow you to tone arms quickly. And you can only use light weights with this exercise. Moreover, exercising one arm at a time is VERY inefficient. You are better served doing exercises that work both arms at the same time.

If you are struggling to tone arms, don’t give in. There are quality sources of information out there. And it’s in your best interest to seek out said sources so that you don’t waste your time. You need results and you need them now!

In closing, I would like to urge you to take action as quickly as possible. You see, if you don’t act on newly acquired information, you will soon forget it!
