If there’s one falacy that dieters do, it would be skipping meals. Why so? The reason is that if you skip meals, the body is led into starvation mode. Instead of losing tummy fat fast, it just attempts to store them as a compensatory mechanism. Thus, it simply becomes too difficult for you to shed off those pounds. Another thing is that when you do not take in a meal, like breakfast for example, you may eventually eat more than you normally do for lunch.

Losing Tummy Fat #2: Skip the Sodas

If there’s a drink on this planet that contains loads of calories, these would be sodas. Sodas have high sugar content that is stored in the body as fat. Women tend to store the fat around their bellies. Thus, if you want to be losing tummy fat, go for water or green tea instead. Water is a good cleansing agent for the body and green tea helps you lose weight.

Losing Tummy Fat #3: Eat More Protein, Less Carbs and Fat

Studies have shown that when you munch more protein such as beans, fish, lean meat, egg white and many others, you don’t tend to binge or overeat. It has also been shown that the fattier your meal is, the greater your chance of snacking. Protein makes you feel fuller for longer. That’s why you tend to snack less.

Losing Tummy Fat #4: Abdominal Exercises for You

Spare at least 30 minutes to an hour to do a couple of crunches to tone your belly and any cardio exercise such as cycling, running, and jogging so that you will be losing tummy fat faster. Try to do this 5-6 times a week and you’ll be on your way to a flat belly.

Losing Tummy Fat #5: Faking It!

If you want the simplest way out, try to use tummy binders or shape formers. Who says you need to show your protuberant abdomen during events that require you to wear really fitting clothes such as cocktail parties? These shape formers were made from spandex that feel really stretchable and comfortable when used.
