Time Management Motivation Is Fun When Done Right

Let’s face it, if you are not motivated, you are not going to get on with correct time management. If you keep putting things off because you don’t feel like doing them, things just won’t get done. But what if it would be possible to inject fun into the things you need to do anyway? This is what time management motivation is all about.

In order to turn some unpleasant chore around, as it were, you need to take another look at it to see if there isn’t something in it that you could actually enjoy doing. Let’s say that you detest house work. Okay, think of how good you will feel once it’s done. Let’s say you dislike homework. Okay, think of how proud you will feel once it’s all behind you.

If at all possible, try to get your friends involved in some of your tasks. You can’t have them come over and clean house with you, but there are things that you could ask them to aid you with. Being lighthearted about some things can actually make them less of a chore and more of a enjoyable diversion. And your friends can help you achieve this.

Friends may not be the only things you can add. Try thinking positive. Suppose you have to clean the house, something you dislike doing. But what if you put on your favorite CD and listened to your favorite music while you vacuumed? Doing this may well divert you from whatever you may otherwise find distasteful about your task at hand.

Another good way to think about time management motivation is to stop and think about the fact that doing a certain errand is really not the end of the world. It may not seem likely that comparing vacuuming with going to war is a good idea, but when you do this kind of comparison, the task at hand is not longer so terrifying. So do this kind of outrageous comparison whenever what you need to do needs to get done anyway.

One last thing to keep in mind is that upon completing certain tasks you may merit some rewards.. If you know that after vacuuming, for example, you can have a dish of ice cream, you are less likely to be cranky. When you have some reward awaiting you after a chore, the chore becomes less of a burden.

It seems, therefore, that time management is not such a big affair after all. If you can keep things on the light side, you are going to acquire the best of time management motivation under your belt.
