The Most Popular Cinematic Food and Candy Treats

Like millions of other Americans I love going to the movie theater. One of the things I look forward to the most is the food available there. Okay, I know it’s not the healthiest in the world, and is vastly overpriced, but it’s good to treat yourself once in a while and it enhances the experience for me.

There is a vast array of food available in movie theaters and here are some of my favorites. See if yours is here.

One of my all time favorite foods is now a regular fare in movie theaters. These are the deliciously satisfying Nachos. There’s just something g very special about that hot cheese and salty chips. My only problem is trying not to crunch too loudly.

For nearly 20 years now, a favorite food in movie theaters has been hot pretzel bites. These are delicious alone or dipped in cheese. Another plus is that they are a lower fat option as opposed to Nachos, so those counting calories can still enjoy movie food.

If you are a candy lover, you will know all about the fabulous sweet and sour candies known as the Sour Patch kids. The combination of flavors makes these a long standing favorite with movie goers across the US.

It always amazes me why there are some firm movie favorites that just don’t sell well in stores. The main three that this has happened to are Goobers, Sno-caps and Junior Mints. They sell by the bucket load in every movie theater in the US but people just don’t seem to consider buying them at any other time.

There are numerous fountain sodas available, and which one you choose is very much a personal choice. The fastest growing movie is not a soda, but a flavored drink that is basically a cup of flavored ice. The popularity of these is growing quickly and shows no sign of diminishing.

No list is complete without the original movie food; popcorn. There are so many varieties available today if you fancy something a bit different from the classic variety.
