The Abercrombie Workout: Male Fitness Models Weapon Of Choice

Put the picture of Abercrombie and Fitch models in front of men around the world and watch their faces. Put the same picture in front of professional bodybuilders and watch their faces. Men tend to believe that they cannot possibly have the body of one of these models while bodybuilders are amazed at the muscle definition on the same models. How is it possible that these perfectly formed models can have muscles often better defined and toned than those of a professional weightlifter? They definitely don’t eat as much as bodybuilders, so let’s take a look at what the average man can do with the Abercrombie workout.

Working the Legs Indirectly

The legs and traps are intentionally avoided in an Abercrombie and Fitch models training program. They don’t want to enhance the traps because it will deflect from the beauty of those angular, wide shoulders they need to work the camera. They are striving for a perfect V shape in their upper body. This means the legs need to be small and that rounded, thicker look that would come with working the traps and leg muscles is unwanted. Since exercises like dead lifts and lunges are designed to build up the waist, hips, thighs, and rear end, Abercrombie models will avoid them at all costs. A model’s worst nightmare is showing up at a photo shoot and finding their legs are too muscular for those skinny jeans. To fit those clothes they have to build up the top of the body without building the lower body. This doesn’t mean their legs are scrawny. They are well developed but they don’t have a lot of excess mass. This is achieved with HIIT workouts and healthy eating rather than mass workouts.

Where’s the Six Pack?

Of course this is a given. You can’t be a good looking model without great abs. Abercrombie and Fitch models obviously have this down to a science. Their abdominal muscles are not big and bulky, but are well defined. Planks do a great job of sculpting the midsection without adding bulk while hanging leg raises develop the “V” between the lower portion of the hips and abs. Having a slim and angular waist is extremely important for models. Even though planks and hanging leg raises are great abdominal exercises, did you know that the key to revealing your abs actually has nothing to do with abdominal exercises? Diet is the most important aspect of great looking abs. I don’t care what your trainer or gym buddy says about the best ab exercises if your diet isn’t in check. As long as you are consuming more calories than what you are burning you will continue to have stubborn body fat blurring your definition.

What And How Much You Eat Will Show

If you were to dunk a group of Abercrombie models into a tank of water and measure their body fat, you would find that every single one of them have very little fat on their bodies. This is why their look seems so unobtainable to most everyday guys. The problem is not that they are unusual genetic freaks. The problem is most men don’t really take in account to the amount of food they consume in a day. These models have well defined muscles that average guys wish they had, but they don’t eat like bodybuilders. They don’t want bulky bodies so they don’t bulk up on food. Junk food is out and HIIT is in. High Intensity Interval Training is combined with strength training programs targeting those key upper body muscles with limited food intake and periods of fasting. The result is low body fat and that perfect V shape. Everyday women can do this as well! They just have to eat less and do HIIT more.

Where are the Big Guys?

Unfortunately for men who can’t stick to the Abercrombie workout, Abercrombie and Fitch models do discriminate against the plus sized or chubby model. This isn’t because they hate fat, but because they need models who can be called to a shoot or fitting at any time and actually fit into their clothing. These models have enviable bodies but most people don’t envy the discipline they have to put on themselves to maintain those beautiful bodies.

The famous Abercrombie workout has designed some of the most incredible bodies. This is perfectly displayed by the look of Abercrombie and Fitch models. Begin building the body of your dreams right now!
