Intensity training is a term perhaps most commonly used to refer to training sessions involving short intense bursts of high effort followed next by a shorter period for cardio recovery. This two-fold pattern is performed repeatedly. The key objective is to increase the oxygen demands of the body above and beyond the ability of the capacity of heart to supply. This form of exercise is also called anaerobic exercise.
