Soundtracks To Make Running An Pleasant Activity

Are you looking to get in better shape, but hate running? If you listen to good music, running isn’t nearly as bad.

I’ve gone in and out of this process through the years and didn’t’ realize until recently a great way to jumpstart the process.

But listening to certain albums makes it a breeze for me and it will do the same for you too. Here are some of my favorite albums to run to.

“The District Sleeps Alone Tonight” by The Postal Service is a fantastic song to run to. It starts out slow, but with enough of a beat to keep you going, then speeds up and by the end of the song, you are really running fast (if you can keep up with the beat).

Phoenix’s newest album, “Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix” is a soundtrack in itself. The album starts out strong with “Lizstomania”, followed by “1901.” By the time those two tracks are over, “Fences” comes in and provides a solid medium to run to.

As I write this article, I sit listening to “Get Innocuous” by LCD Soundsystem. Just one amazing song of his to run to. Another great one is “All My Friends”. Clearly the key with all this is to find music with a great beat.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are the exception to this article, as they are the only band that does not incorporate electronic elements into their music. Still, songs like “Snow,” “Dani California” and “Venice Queen” are fantastic to run to if you need to let some steam loose.

Another great artist to run to would be Kanye West. You may not like the guy, but he is incredibly talented. Some of his best songs to run to include “Never Let Me Down” and “RoboCop.”

The writer also regularly shares knowledge on things including rock speakers and outdoor speaker wires.
