Personal Coaching – Playing a Victim to Life

If you are playing a victim to life, then you are deeply unconscious. You’ve already given up on life, and have declared that life, another person, or some other force beyond yourself has somehow conquered you. In a way, you’ve sacrificed your soul to a phantom “other” that doesn’t even exist. In truth, victimization is the ego’s way of attracting the spotlight to itself. It is unconsciously played out by the ego for the sole purpose of extracting attention and sympathy from people around you.

There is no reason to be a victim to life. Life was meant to be enjoyed, not endured. This state of unconsciousness is what I call the “pinball effect.” It is the effect of having no control over your life, of being a victim to life bonking you on the head and flipping you all over the place, right and left, back and forth, up and down. “Life’s a bitch, and then you die,” says the ego. Ego Transcendence Counseling focuses on helping you to become aware of your egoic mind so that you can transcend it and become spiritually enlightened.

At an early age, the victim is programmed to believe; that’s just the way life is. Because of this belief, you find yourself constantly running into obstacles. Life seems to be just one desperate attempt to solve one annoying problem after another, and this seemingly never-ending onslaught eventually takes its toll on your health, and you become addicted to food, or alcohol, or drugs, or you just become chronically ill. And the more you fight this horrifying reality that life inflicts problems on you, the more tragic life becomes.

The pinball effect is the victim experience of exercising no free will at all. Things happen to you. You are a slave to the universe, a slave to your ego, and whether you’re aware of it or not, probably a slave to everyone around you. People take advantage of you. No, it’s worse–they walk all over you.

The pinball effect is completely constructed from the reactive, presence-ignoring, drama-inducing egoic self. To the ego, life is nothing less than a never-ending barrage of problems that must be solved and counted. But all these problems are nothing more than energy for the ego to feed on. Over time, problems become a necessity for the ego to sustain itself. Ego Transcendence Life Coaching can help you learn how to stop creating problems out of your challenges.
