Not Bad In Any Way – Best Yoga Mat Review

This mat protects your toes and spine and knees and hands from the hardness of the floor underneath it. Plus, it will stay in place. I’ll continue to see all of this opens/changes my practice! This mat is awesome. In the end, it performed better than what I was expecting. The only reason it didn’t get five stars is that there is an odor (that bothers my wife) that I am told will go away in time.

I like the thickness, which is more than a lot of other mats out there. I have only been doing yoga about six months, but this makes a lot of difference in your practice. It’s a pain in the butt to schlepp around as it very heavy and I also had to get a special bag (available from Manduka) for it as well, as my standard issue bag was too small for it, but it’s worth it! I have been using 2 thinner mats for about 3 years and finally spent the money for a really good mat. My hands and feet sweat a lot during class. Most mats I’ve tried turn into a slip-and-slide after the first 5 minutes. Your knees will thank you! My yoga instructor recommended this mat for Yogis who practice three times a week or more.

If you’re just starting yoga, start with a regular mat, but if you’re committed, you’ll want this product. Best yoga mat I’ve found on the market.

I loved the Manduka Yoga mat so much I bought two. I leave the 71-inch one at the yoga studio and bring it home to wash about every ten days because it will get slippery with usage. It’s thick and comfortable, not sticky but keeps me in place. It’s easy to clean and seems like it will last a lifetime.

It does grip the floor, but I actually thought about ditching the mat and practicing directly on the wood floor, because it seemed like a much better option than this slippery mat. My instructor even pointed out the problems after class, and was surprised to learn that it is a Manduka mat.

I still slip a little bit sometimes but one just has to be creative. It’s definitely worth it for any serious or semi-serious yogis.

Happy with how quickly our order arrived. I think it would be heavy and awkward to consistently take to another location, but for our home workouts, it has worked very well.

Great cushion, mat stays in place, dries quickly after being washed, good size. This mat is heavy, soft, and appears to be made of very high quality material. However, I have had a lot of difficulty in removing the slippery film. Unfortunately we went through a few yoga mats each until we found the Manduka Black mat. All the other mats tore up with the Plyometrics workout – but this mat not only provides great cushion for leaping, but my husband (who sweats a LOT in yoga) doesn’t slide around like on the others.

A yoga instructor I work with raves about Manduka and – after two years of ignoring her – I finally bought one. Electric Recliner Chairs.
