It is a destination as exotic as it sounds; head here and you will be headed to a place of such untouched beauty and splendor. You would believe that this is where the even the gods come to rest when they need to. The spot is the famed beach resort town of Hua Hin, Thailand. Lying north of the Malay Peninsula, this bit of heaven on earth lies 200 kilometers on the southern side of Bangkok and is spread about 911 square kilometers. It is one of the eight districts of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.

Even the Thai Royal family wanted their royal abode to be close by. There a lot to see and this includes imperial sites like cities that carry a lot of history and parks. There is the long stretch of sea and sand to frolic in too. If you dare, go deep sea diving and take in all the splendor of the undersea. You can also choose to remain on the surface with a game of water polo and breaking the surf.

Recover from a session in the water on the white-sand beaches or at one of the tourist-class spa and wellness centers in the area. One common ingredient that will used at these centers is pure coconut oil that is produced right there at the island that is used to give massages. You are also in for a treat if you get a massage done with sand from the island.

Another promise Huan Hin never fails to deliver on is that the weather will be glorious. It is tropical and if rain ever falls, it is rarely and only briefly. And even if the clouds swell up and color the skies grey, daybreak and sundown are still dazzling to watch. Come March through May, the sun is up high with temperatures coming down in November to February.

Hua Hin Beach is the main enticement. There is the quaint, wooden railway station buildings. By night, take a stroll in the street market. You can indulge in a platter of Thai sea food that is prepared for you right on the spot as you shop around. One thing you should not go home without is the varied native handicrafts.

There are several peaks that are great points from which one can gaze upon the view. One is Hin Lek Fai Hill where there is also a park. About four kilometers away from the town is Takiap Hill which also has a number of Buddhist temples.

Tao Hill is another top spot. It has a road that leads to Hat Sai Noi and Hat Sai Yai beaches. It is a fishing village and also boasts some great temples. Another must see is the Pa La-u Waterfall, a majestic 11-tier waterfall. Within it is a lush forest with several specifies of butterflies and birds.

While taking in these and other attractions, you can take your rest in one of the accommodation options that are available.
