Who is Jay Kubassek? Is he in the position to assert such claim, to pose that thought provoking question? Jason Kubassek, was born and raised in a small religious community in Ontario, Canada. This compound was established by his grandfather in the 1940’s. Around 20 families live in a utopian way of life, sharing everything – land, cattle, produce, and sheep. Jay’s life, as he describes it, was far from that of a normal Canadian. Despite the vast track of land his family owns and tills, they lived a very modest and austere life. He grew up without access to television, internet, or newspapers. Like most of his contemporaries in their commune, Jay was home schooled and earned an equivalent of 8th grade education. Further education was never an alternative. Choir practices and development of agricultural devices were what occupied Jay when he was a teen. At that point, he pretty much resigned to his fate of becoming a farmer, just like his father and grandfather.

Reading the book, Conversations With God, was his turning point. He was confronted with the fear that he was wasting his chance of “conquering the world” by spending his whole life in his community. The 23 year old then decided to leave his community, his utopian way of living, much to the dismay of his father. Jay joined his brother to become a tour bus driver but quit after realizing that it was not what he wanted. He ended up working as a muffler salesman for a Midas franchise in Kansas City. The meager annual income of $50,000 could not commensurate the effort and hours he dedicated to his job. He struggled financially and barely kept afloat. To further augment his income and save up for college tuition money, he engaged in part time online business. He also taught himself how to trade commodities but lost his investments following the Enron and Worldcom fiasco.

The flame of his dream to become successful burned even more intensely despite these setbacks. He tried a number of marketing businesses and eventually developed a system that has revolutionized the world of online marketing. The creation of an automatic turnkey sales and marketing system has drastically turned not only his life around but those of others as well.
