Is it ok to have vitamin supplements instead of vegetables?

Will I get the recommended amount of nutrients if I use the Amway product- "Concentrated Fruits and Vegetables". Is it ok if I have this supplement instead of eating vegetables?I find it difficult to cook every day, so I’m planning to have supplements on those days I don’t cook, say 3 days a week.

You don’t have to cook everyday….have a sandwich or cook enough for two days. And there is always the microwave….

I think your supplements are fine as long as you take them with food and if they are in a pill form either chew them for easier digestion or crush them before swallowing.

I chew multivitamins with food almost everyday and I notice a little more energy in the morning when I take them with my last meal the day before.

There is no substitute for the real thing — obtaining the vitamins and nutrients you need through actual food. In fact, I do not recommend vitamins unless they are to be used for medicinal purposes or for undernourished people. In my opinion, such "concentrated" foods are a gimmick, especially if you want to buy from a nonspecialty "department store" such as Amway.

I use the perfect health pack from Nutrilite every day…. It contains Concentrated Fruits and Vegetables, the Omega3 supplement and the Double X multi vitamins….

  4. Some vitamins can be really good for you and some can just be overkill. When your body takes in too much of one thing it tends to work itself hard to get rid of it or try to use it. I get all my vitamins from http://www.ProteinPantry.com and they usually have it for the cheapest on the internet along with everything I need.
