How to prevent muscle mass loss while sick?

I recentally got very sick for 2 days and loss a very noticable amount of muscle mass. How could I prevent this? How could I recover from this? will it come back quickly?

  1. you didnt lose muscle mass unless you were over doing it on the juice, you probably just lost body mass, like in water weight, full intenstines, not eating or drinking or peeing and pooping (maybe some diarrhea) alot makes you look thinner. eat right and rehydrate and you should look like normal again.
    To prevent this from happening again drink alot of fluids high in electrolytes (gatorade,powerade) while your sick and eat carbs.
