How to Deal with Grief

There are a lot of events that occur in our lives. Some of them may be events that we could treasure for the remainder of our lives and some of them may just be nerve-wrangling events that we wished never occurred in our lives. Stressful life events may come in the form of the loss of something or somebody dear to us, traumatic and really tragic events that have occurred in our lives which has considerably influenced our emotional state of mind. According to a local Vancouver grief counsellor, these happenings are only some potential or risk factors that could alter or perhaps harm the individual's mental fitness.

Take this example as an example; you lost your dad who died in a vehicular accident. The primary mental response that you're going to feel is grief, to the limit that you're going to feel so sad about the matter. The person who is afflicted with grief usually undergoes 5 stages till that person has learned to accept what has already happened. These 5 stages are denial, anger, bargaining, depression and ultimately acknowledgment.

According to a grief counsellor, depression is present in the remainder of the stages since it's a very standard stress reply of the individual. Depression is a common response of someone who has felt grief because of some intense events that has happened in ones life. Additionally, depression is very tough to treat, most especially if the person is not pleased to move on with their life.
