How can i reduce muscle mass?

I am a small, petite girl, but i do have more muscle mass than most (think of a gymnasts body). I work out 3-5 times a week to keep in shape, but I would like to slim down my legs and arms at the same time. I’m not sure how to do this, since I’m working out and it seems to keep them bulked up. I do not do any strengh training on my legs, just running and the elliptical.

  1. You would have to stop using those muscles in order for them to be reduced.

    Not sure why you would want to do that though – lean muscle mass not only looks great, but makes you stronger and speeds your metabolism.

  2. Eat less protein. Run on an empty stomach. This’ll put you in a catabolic state.
