Firstly, former Giants running back Tiki Barber has annunciated his desire to return to the field after three years in retirement. Barber had tried his hand in broadcasting, but recent reports suggest that, after being terminated from that position, Barber has returned to the gym and has been training vigorously with his old, personal trainer.

Unfortunately, the flamboyant Owens has a tendency to get on the nerves of his teammates and management wherever he goes.

The enigmatic Owens suffered a torn ACL is his knee during the end of last year’s campaign, an injury that has been a death blow to professional athletes in any sport. It is unknown at this point if any clubs with take a chance on Owens during the upcoming season, but T. O. Has vowed to be ready to play.
However, as several players have been attempting comebacks from age and injuries, one player who will not be among them on that list is quarterback Brett Favre. After injuries derailed his 2010 season in Minnesota with the Vikings, Favre informed the organization that he would not be returning for a third season with the club. Instead, the future Hall of Famer will retire for the third time, ending an impressive career which included one Super Bowl championship and countless Pro Bowl appearances.
There are other stories which will be worth following over the course of the season as well, including how the several new head coaches will fare with their new teams, and which team will finish last and earn the dubious right to draft stud quarterback Andrew Luck in the next rookie draft.
