Five Ways to Beat Your Allergies Without Drugs

Because so many people suffer from allergies, the market is flooded with allergy medicines of all kinds. Som are sold over the counter and others require a prescription. You might already be taking one or more of the, however, if you would like to try some natural allergy remedies, check with your doctor first and then think about trying one or more of the following natural home remedies. The following are some of the most highly recommended ones.

1. Nutrients can really help people in a war against allergens, specifically vitamins B5 and E, help many allergy sufferers find long term relief. Unfortunately, they are not a quick fix…not even close, in fact. You will need to take them for at least a month and probably a little more before you can expect meaningful results.

2. Starting the day with 5 drops of castor oil may relieve nasal and several other allergies. Anyone who tells you they enjoy ingesting castor oil is being less than honest. So, in self-defense, mix the castor oil with liquid and drink before breakfast. Orange juice, tomato juice, grapefruit juice, and cranberry juice are good options because of their health benefits and ability to reduce the taste of the castor oil.

3. Limes are not just for daiquiris anymore. Mix the juice of a half lime with half a glass of water, and drink before breakfast. You may add a sweetener (honey?) if you wish. And, of course, if you want to minimize your sugar intake, artificial sweeteners are fine.

4. Eating fresh garlic may bring you real relief. Add it to soups, sauces, salads, and other foods. Just remember to do something about your breath; all of your friends and family members will thank you for it. That is a promise.

5. Did you ever wonder why Sherlock Holmes never sneezed? Probably not, but here is the surprise answer. It wasn’t the cocaine. It was the Chamomile tea, green tea, and peppermint tea, all of which are widely thought to alleviate most allergy symptoms. And, the anti-oxidants in most teas are a terrific extra bonus.

There are, of course, no guarantee of results with any home remedy. Even the most expensive prescription drugs don’t work for everyone. But, many people swear by the remedies above and they are all appear to be pretty benign. You might want to try them.
