Cosmetic Products Cross Over Cartoons

There seems no big relationship between cartoon and cosmetics in the sense that cartoons are for children and cosmetics are for adults. In fact, when the two come together, a great market has been opened up in the cosmetic industry. It is becoming more and more popular that cosmetic and skincare brands team up with cartoons to launch different types of products for lips, eyes and faces, etc.

Alice in Wonderland is a story with a long history. The lovely and clever Alice is the favorite cartoon character of many women, especially after the broadcast of Alice in Wonderland movie this year. Paul & Joe is one of the cosmetic brands that introduces cosmetic products such as oil blotting paper and lip stick in the theme of Alice in Wonderland. Apart from the Alice, it also offers products including face color, lip treatment and hand cream in the theme of Bambi, Marine the cat and Lady from the Tramp.

The famous cosmetic brand, M.A.C. teams up with the popular cat, Hello Kitty from Japan. Hello Kitty is themed with a sweet and sexy image in pink and black. The Hello Kitty collection includes a wide range of cosmetic products such as lip stick, lip gloss, lip conditioner, eye shadow, eye liner, beauty powder, nail polish, mascara and false eyelashes, etc.

These four characters include Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmations and Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog. Julius the Monkey is Paul Frank’s best known character. This cute monkey appears on different products such as fashions, stationeries, accessories and footwear. To capture women and girls in the skincare market, Paul Frank launches its lip balm and lip gloss set, named as Lip Smacker. These lip treatment sets are contained in tin boxes and trendy cosmetic bags with Julius the Monkey as the logo. Besides, the flavors of these lip treatment are monkey approved!

Finally, cartoons appear in the fragrance and perfume industry as well. Moschino Cheap & Chic line is totally inspired by Olive Oyl on scents and product design of the fragrances. Olive Oyl is the character from the Popeye cartoons. There are three perfumes namely the original Cheap & Chic, I Love Love and the newest Hippy Fizz. I Love Love and Hippy Fizz enriched with floral and citrus scents are more suitable for younger women.
