Can tuna be substituted for amino acid supplements?

Silly question I know, but amino acid supplements are basically protein right? I was curious because people take amino acid supplements before they do their cardio. So could tuna be substituted as an amino acid supplement since it has almost no carbs or fats and lots of protein?

Yes, protein is simply made of amino acids, so tuna would work similarly. The main advantages of aminos are that they are digested quickly and some specific aminos can have almost drug-like effects.

It’s one of those small issues though. The main thing is to follow a great training and nutrition plan. If you need a good plan I would recommend this one: https://www.athleticmusclebuilding.com

    It worked well for me.
