Bob Proctor – A Review of the Life and Works of Bob Proctor: The Author of ‘You Were Born Rich’

Bob Proctor was born in 1935 in a family of humble folks as the middle child in Ontario, Canada. While growing up, he wasn’t what you would call an exceptional youth. Due to the wide-reaching depression during his growing up days, Bob wasn’t fascinated by studies. Consequently, he didn’t excel at studies and eventually dropped out after barely a handful of months in high school.

He then entered the Canadian Navy and served for four years. After this stint, he went to Toronto and found employment with the fire department. During this period he was penniless, unwell and despondent. Around this time he got a copy of “Think and Grow Rich” written by Napoleon Hill. This made him all set for a revolution in his life.

These concepts and so much more is discussed and taught in Bob Proctor’s newest program, ‘The Science of Getting Rich.’ It is a program that anyone can use to affect real change in their lives and reap the rewards that they deserve, not from hard work, but instead by aligning their thoughts and feelings with their desires. Although some may scoff at this notion, the Law of Attraction is at work in their lives every day and there is just no denying it anymore. Better to work with the laws than against them and use them to enrich our lives in every way. If you have watched The Secret, the name Bob Proctor is probably familiar to you. Bob Proctor is one of the chosen Law of Attraction experts who talked about the Law of Attraction in that movie. He is considered as one of the best motivational speakers in the topic of abundance and financial success.

In the mid 1970’s Proctor decided to begin his career as a life-coach and continues, 30 years later, in that capacity. In the ensuing years, Bob has taught executives at scores of companies such as Prudential and Metropolitan Life as well as Malaysian Airlines. He continued to seek new material to explain why some people were successful and some were not. Dr. C. Harry Roder of San Antonio’s Concept Therapy Institute, Eric Hoffer of The True Believer fame and Leland Von Syring are among those Bob made the acquaintance of during his travels to work with corporate clients. They gave Bob indispensable advice that he’s incorporated into his programs and seminars. Any time he noticed his life was going along much more smoothly than before, he sought out the nugget of wisdom and investigated it. The resulting program is, in essence, his life’s work.

The most significant principle outlined and highlighted in this book is the Law of Receiving. This exhorts people to give up the frenzied pursuit of wealth, as this can only be counterproductive. It asks them to slow down and take a moment to comprehend what they really require in life. This can lead to the point where people can do what they want when they want. It implores the readers not to hanker after wealth, as it will only lead to discontent and dejection. In conclusion, Bob Proctor has made it to the top by using self-help principles. He has conveyed these lessons in the book You Were Born Rich.
