Basic Yoga Poses As Stress Reliever

Whether you are a professional or a student, stress is possibly going to be part of your lifecycle. In the hectic world and that we live in today, being able to unwind and loosen up is exceptionally necessary to our health. One of the greatest means to reach a healthy condition is by the use of basic yoga as a scheme for relaxation and meditation. Yoga can help you accomplish this by teaching you how to control your posture, breathing as well as concentration.

Lotus Position

The best known basic yoga pose for alleviating stress is the lotus position or also known as padmasana. To execute this position properly, you need to look for a fine part on the floor where you could restfully sit. Your legs are crossed. Your feet must rest on your thighs with soles facing up. Make sure your knees are on the floor. Keep your spine erect, the hands either placed on your knees, palms up, or resting on the lap. Breathe in gently and deeply through your nose, expanding your lungs with oxygen and then exhale gently through your nose, cleansing your lungs and helping your body remove toxins.

The Mountain

The mountain or also referred to as tadasana is a good posture to start any basic yoga exercise session. It’s also the starting posture for all standing exercises. Stand with your feet inches apart, your hands by your sides and look in front of you. Inhale and exhale deeply. Move your awareness from your feet to your ankles, knees and legs. Feel that they are straight and strong. Tuck your buttocks in making your spine totally straight. Your stomach must not bulge out or curve in, but be straight along with your spine.

The Tree Pose

The tree pose or also known as vrksasana is a stable rooted position which can be carried out through bringing one foot against the inner thigh of the standing leg. The raised leg is out to the side and the pelvis is opened. Both hips are squared toward the front. The arms are in a Namaste position in the center of the chest. This exercise helps boost balance and strengthens thighs, calves, and ankles. It also strengthens spine.

These are the basic yoga poses which can help you feel soothed and reduce stress.
