Why is the muscle mass on my pecs mostly in the upper outside area?

Why is most of my pectoral muscle mass on the upper outside part of my pecs near my armpits? Is this because I do dumbbell flyes and flat bench press but NOT incline or decline bench? Which exercise would correct this?
does anyone have photos of how pecs would look after doing incline or decline?
