Using Thoughts to Boost Self Confidence

As humans we spend the majority of our day thinking about all sorts of different things. But when is the last time that you actually paid much attention to the context of your thoughts? Many folks think, however few folks are able to analyze their thoughts and the subsequent impact their thoughts are having on their lives. Thoughts are most certainly not invisible, fuzzy nonexistent things. They are indeed extremely powerful and influence our lives and our self confidence in the most important of ways.

Thinking and thought is the basis upon which everything in this world is created. Thoughts are so powerful, that they are responsible for everything you see around you.

The shirt you are wearing was once a thought in someone’s mind. The shoes you have on also began as a thought somewhere in someone’s mind. The lunch you are going to eat tomorrow will start first as a thought. The Iphone was once a thought in Steve Jobs’ mind. The list goes on and on-you get the idea.

This article first existed as a thought in my mind. Repeated and habitual positive thoughts about this article eventually created a belief that I could create this article. This powerful and unyielding belief that I could create this article motivated me to take the steps necessary to bring this article into existence. Anything that is created in this world follows the same process as the process I experienced when creating this article.

Repeated thoughts about something will eventually bring that something into existence. This is true whether it’s an article, an iPhone, or even self confidence. My own struggle with self confidence was created through consistent negative thinking about myself and my abilities. Over time I continued to think negative, damaging thoughts about myself and my abilities, and the detrimental effect on my life compounded.

Negative thoughts can have a very detrimental impact on the quality of one’s life. Repeated negative thinking will create negative emotions, which lower self confidence. Over time, if the negative thinking continues, these emotions can snow ball out of control. The result is a person filled with low self confidence and poor self image.

I didn’t realize I was doing this to myself because I was not accustomed to paying much attention to what I was thinking. The reason so many men struggle with self confidence is because we fail to give much attention to what we are thinking.
