A POA for individual treatment document must state exactly what types of decisions the grantor is giving someone else the authority to make for her. Personal treatment includes a number of categories, including diet, clothing, hygiene, health care and housing. The grantor may specify which categories she would holder of the POA to look after. For example, the grantor may not wish to appoint someone to make decisions about her medical care or housing, but will allow decisions about hygiene or clothing.
