Fix These Crazy Nourishing and Tasty Snacks for Yourself

When you want a snack, which food do you try to get a hold of? Potato chips and cookies? What if you are working to be healthy? Finding tasty and hearty snacks can be a huge challenge, especially if the foods you like best for snacking are full of sugar or salt. In this article, we are going to show you how to put together your own nourishing snacks to satisfy those cravings. Each of the following snacks are good for you and won’t hinder your weight watching endeavors. Are you a little skeptical? Check this out!

Delicious Dipped Pretzels make a terrific snack without feeling like you are restricting yourself in terms of portion size or denying yourself a few of your favorite tastes. On the stove or in the microwave, melt approximately one half cup of semi sweet chocolate. This will take between 1.5 and 2 minutes and make sure that you stir it up extremely well before trying to use it. Dip pretzels that are low in sodium in the melted chocolate until they are coated and then place them on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet in a single layer. Let the chocolate dipped pretzels cool at room temperature or stick them in the fridge for about 20 minutes.

Yummy Tortilla Chips are snacks that, believe it or not, you can make on your own at home. Tortilla chips, when you get them from the shop, are commonly loaded down with an excessive amount of salt and aren’t really very good for you. In this delicious snack, you make the chips yourself using corn tortillas. Gather at least ten corn tortillas and cut them in six parts. Set the corn tortilla pieces onto a baking sheet and spray with a thin coat of a spray you can put together yourself by blending canola oil and a quarter of a teaspoon of chili powder, half a teaspoon of cumin and a quarter of a teaspoon of table salt. Be sure each piece is coated with the mixture and then bake the lot at 350 degrees for fifteen minutes. Allow the chips to cool down totally before trying to eat them.

Try fixing delicious caramel corn! You may think that, because of the super high sugar and calorie count, there’s no way that the caramel corn can be good for you. Try making this (much heartier) recipe instead. In a big stock pot, melt two tablespoons of butter and add two tablespoons of brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon of kosher salt, and a tablespoon of water. Mix all the ingredients and then dump in seven cups of air popped popcorn. You can even sprinkle a bit of lightly salted peanuts if you want to. Mix it all together until the popcorn (and nuts if you’ve included them) are evenly coated and then let the whole lot cool before you eat it.

If you are fine doing a little research, you can find a number of snack recipes that are low on bad ingredients, have fewer calories but that still taste so good. There are lots of great tasting choices for hearty snacks out there. You simply have to be persevering enough to find them and make them for yourself. Being in good health doesn’t need to be tough. You can do it!
