Eat to Lose Weight

If you would like to lose some pounds, going on one of those starvation type diets is probably the most terrible thing you can do. What will happen if you keep missing meals or try to live on one tiny meal per day?

The first & most obvious thing is you end up hungry. You walk past a fish & chip shop or a bakery, you smell that delightful smell & it nearly drives you nuts. Then you see someone devouring a hamburger or a big piece of chocolate cake & you can’t stand it any more so you jump in & have a major splurge, eating more than you usually would & ofttimes higher calorific fatty foods.

The result? You put on more weight which causes you to feel miserable to the point where you do not care any longer & you go & eat even more.

The second effect is, when you are not eating enough, the body doesn’t just burn fat, it burns muscle tissue as well but when you binge it all gets put back as fat which leaves you in a less healthy position than before you started.

Thirdly, if your body thinks that the food supply is becoming scarce it will go into self preservation mode & try & store fat (for leaner times) each chance it gets so when you do splurge you’ll store even more fat than you otherwise would.

The Solution? Eat three reasonable sized meals per day. Choose foods that are low on the Glycemic Index (these are less fattening) & eat slowly & sensibly until you’re feeling full.

Also, learn how to eat more raw veggies, they are real high energy foods. I have seen folks happily surprised by just how tasty & filling a well made salad is. There are heaps of very good recipes out there so give them a try.

Another option is to use a product like “Quick Slim” which you have before meals. It’s from the roots of the Japanese Konjac plant which expands in your stomach & makes you feel full so you do not eat as much.

If you follow these things you will find you’ll achieve your ideal weight over time.
